Christopher Street Day in Berlin 2018, 28nd of July

It´s more than half a million people taking part, celebrating and demonstrating at Berlin´s

Christopher Street Parade. It´s a diverse crowd: Women, men, heterosexual, homosexual, young, old, from berlin and all over the world. Also some celebrities show solidarity with this gay pride parade.
The parade starts at Joachimstaler Straße at midday and ends at 18 pm at Brandenburg Gate. The parade has two parts, so that everyone who wants to take part can be a part, loud or quiet.
One part will be people walking and some quiet vehicles. The other part of the parade has loud music on trucks to make this parade a party. If you want take part, just choose where you feel like joining.
The CSD parade is a political manifestation. Every year there´s a motto and a list with claims to achieve more equality and acceptance of people with any kind of sexual orientation. This day is also an event to make this manifestation/parade being heard, literally. It´s getting loud and fancy! There will be loud music beats, colorful costumes and highly decorated vehicles.

Where the parade ends, the final show and speeches will take place. At the main stage around 400,000 people will come together and the Soul-of-Stonewall- Award (in the past also been known as Award for civil courage) will be given to people dedicated to the equality of gay-lesbian-trans-rights-movement. The messages of this year´s CSD parade are going to be presented on stage. The city will have quite some after-CSD party all over the city center.
