Horse racing, betting and a good atmosphere at the German Trotter Derby in Mariendorf from 27/07 to 05/08/2018

With over a hundred years of tradition, Germany's most important horse race takes place for the 123rd time at the trotting track in Berlin-Mariendorf,

the contact point for horse betting in Berlin. Trotting is a variant of horse racing, where only the fast pace "trot" is allowed. Since 1954, the Trotter Derby has always taken place on the first Sunday in August; this year the prize money is 276,000 euros. Thousands of visitors come here to watch, to join in the excitement and to bet. In addition to several show acts, a fashion show on Sunday and a varied culinary offer, there will also be a large children's programme this year to make the racetrack more attractive for families. Fireworks are also planned for Thursday and Friday. Sunday will be the final day.
