RHIZOMAT 18.10.-04.12.2016
Performance, Cross Media, Installations, Acting Mona el Gammal developed in 2008 the concept of Narraptive Spaces.
It is linked to her first piece “Haus/Nummer/Null” that she presented in 2014. In his new project, Mona el Gammal will dive deeper into her abstract of a future world. Her focus is, to take the visitors into a parallel world. Therefore, she translates narrative stories into real, walkable spaces. Visitors are actively integrated into the whole process and will bring the rooms to life through their imagination. When entering a room, one will for example find traces of evidence and make assumptions about what has happened there. Visitors will not directly encounter any characters but will find themselves torn between utopia and dystopia or obedience and freedom.
This installation is a real adventure and an interesting expedition to another world.
