The Tanzolymp, from 15 to 19 February, is the largest competition in the world for young dancers aged 10 to 21 years.

It takes place annually in Berlin under the motto "Dance as a World Language". The increasing number of participants speaks for themselves, as since the founding year the number has increased from 380 to more than 1000 dancers from more than 40 countries. The festival is now considered as a "stock market" for young talents internationally among artists and professionals. The skills of the participants are evaluated by internationally renowned jurors.

In the six different dance categories modern dance, character dance, classical dance, tap dance and jazz, the young dancers can prove their abilities. The winners can receive scholarships, contracts with theaters or cash prizes. The highlight of the festival is a gala evening in which the best duets, soloists and groups of the competition will perform. This will take place on 19 February in the Theater of the West.
