A Brief History of the Silent Green Cultural Quarter

This stunning building in the heart of Wedding is a hub of culture and intimate ambiance. Surprisingly, this new venue was once a crematorium, built in the early 20th century as Berlin’s first cremation facility.
In 1995, the crematorium was added to Berlin's list of historic monuments.
It closed in 2002, and in 2013 extensive renovation and reconstruction began. Today, it thrives with new life.
