The permanent exhibition of the Museum für Film and Television Berlin shows exhibits from the entire spectrum of German film and television history.




Learn about a German film history that is over 100 years old. In the museum you get a fascinating insight from the origins of film and television to the present day, a combination that is unique in Europe. Behind the museum lies a unique concept. The staging of the exhibition is unique. Light installations, halls of mirrors, moving images take you on a journey through time.
A permanent exhibition with extraordinary legacies of important film artists such as Marlene Dietrich, Fritz Lang and Werner Herzog. The exhibition on German television opened in 2006 with a story from East and West.

Located directly at Potsdamer Platz, 3 floors above the impressive Sony Center, you will find the Museum for Film and Television. If you're feeling the fever of the cinema, you can walk to the IMAX across the street. Other sights nearby are the Musical Instruments Museum, the Berlin Philharmonic and the Tiergarten. After a short walk of 10 minutes you will reach the Brandenburg Gate.
