East Side Music Days on September 2nd and 3rd 2017 in Berlin
For me one of the best street-music festivals in Berlin. Musicians from all over the world from all genres
will play live and free between Postbahnhof and Oberbaumbrücke. A great festival for everyone who dares to be in a famous place along the wall and in the East Side Park.

Infos Oberbaum Bridge:
Can you believe that Berlin has more bridges than Venice!? In fact berlin has almost 1,000 bridges from different style eras. The Oberbaum Bridge, which connects the districts Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg over the river Spree is the most elaborated and most beautiful one.
It´s not only cars but also the subway driving on it. The frame structure was faced architecturally and is highly decorated and makes it almost look like a mediaeval castle.
The two towers were reconstructed, true to the original after the Wall was teared down. During the time of the division of Berlin the bridge was just in border area, that´s why it fell into ruins. During reconstruction in the 90ies of last century it got so modern elements in the middle part from the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
Infos East Side Gallery / Berlin Wall:
The longest memorial for peace and reconciliation is the East-Side-Gallery in Berlin. It´s 1.3 km long and got painted by many international artists who came to Berlin after the political division ended. This colorful collection of poetic and political murals is a unique attraction.
This in origin spontaneous piece of art is now under monument protection. You can still observe the hopes and delight the artists expressed due to the political changes in 1989.
