The Berlin festival and the year-round project Transmediale will highlight new connections between art, culture and technology.

Transmediale - Festival for Art, Culture and Technology at the House of the World´s Cultures in Berlin - from 28 January to 1 March 2020

The Transmediale is a Berlin festival and year-round project that highlights new links between art, culture and technology.

The goal of Transmediale's activities is to provide a basic understanding of contemporary culture and politics shaped by media technologies.

The motto of Transmediale 2020 is E2E (End to end). Inspired by an idea of networks that originated before the Internet, the Transmediale focuses on forgotten and possible perspectives with and without networks. A comprehensive reassessment of networks and their possibilities and limits is the aim of the events.

With keynotes, performances and presentations of short films, Transmediale 2020 aims at a comprehensive reappraisal of networks and their limits. In addition to the exhibition The Eternal Network, the film and video programme, the student forum and the workshop programme at the House of the World´s Cultures in Berlin, Transmediale will be holding a two-day expert discussion at the Berlin Volksbühne.
