Konnichiwa! - the 10th Japan Festival on 26 and 27 January 2019 in Berlin
With the Japan Festival on January 26th and 27th the cultural diversity of Japan moves to our city for the 10th time.
In the Urania every nook and cranny will be used to bring the incredible variety of Japanese cuisine and culture closer to all visitors. More than 400 artists, musicians and actors will show a non-stop live program in 2 concert halls and on 2 stages for more than 36 hours. The performances range from Aikido, Kendo, Karate over Taiko drummers and traditional Kimono presentations, up to talented Japanese dancers and sword artists. Besides the performances there are also lots of stalls and other interesting things to explore. You can also be tempted by the Japanese cuisine, which consists not only of sushi, but also of culinary delicacies such as Matcha chocolate, onigiri, ramen, Japanese baked goods and much more, which you can try out here! If someone then feels the interest to get on the plane and have a look at the real Japan, they can get all kinds of information at the booths of the Japanese Embassy and the German-Japanese Society. The little visitors can even enjoy participation offers like Origami folding and Go games. This unique short vacation into the mysterious and crazy Japan should not be missed by you and the whole family!
