The Myfest Berlin in Kreuzberg on May 1, 2019
The Myfest offers a great cultural and culinary offer from concerts and street food to fire brigades. For the younger guests there is an adventure parcour on the Mariannenplatz, including face painting, making origami, a can throwing competition and much more.
The program starts at 11:30 in the morning and consists of eight stages that are hosted by DJs and bands alike. There will also be performance artists, comedians, diabolists and many more entertainers.
Myfest is now celebrating its 16th anniversary, and the recent quite and peaceful events of the May Day celebrations in Kreuzberg are attributed by local residents and the police to this street festival in particular.
Since 2003, this festival was launched to counteract the riots on May 1 by replacing violence in the Kreuzberg neighborhoods around the Kottbusser Tor, Oranienstraße and Heinrichplatz by peaceful celebration.
It is celebrated until late at night!
