Konnichiwa! - The Japan Festival 2018 on 27th and 28th January 2018 in Berlin
With the Japan festival on the 27th and 28th of January, the cultural diversity of Japan moves into our city for the ninth time already.
In Urania, every corner is used to bring the amazing variety of Japanese cuisine and culture to all visitors. More than 400 artists, musicians and actors will show a non-stop live program in 2 concert halls and 2 stages over 36 hours. Performances range from aikido, kendo, karate, taiko drummers and traditional kimono presentations, to talented Japanese dancers and swordsmiths. In addition to the performances, there are also plenty of stalls and other interesting things to explore. You can also be tempted by the Japanese cuisine, because this consists not only of sushi, but also of culinary delights such as matcha chocolate, onigiri, Ramen, Japanese pastries and much more that you can try here! If someone then feels the interest to get on a plane and see the real Japan, the stands of the Japanese Embassy and the German-Japanese Society will provide you with all sorts of information. The little visitors can even enjoy hands-on activities such as origami folding and go games. This unique getaway to the mysterious and crazy Japan should not be missed by yourself and your whole family!
