The cafe inside Michelberger Hotel has, in my opinion, the most relaxed atmosphere in Berlin. It is a hip hotel with hip guests.
Even though it only recently celebrated its 7th birthday, it has long since established itself as one of the most popular insider tips in Berlin. The lobby of the Michelberger Hotel combines a cozy cafe, library and art objected in one. If you go a bit further, you will get to the in-house restaurant. The very first time you enter it is noticeable that the Michelberger Cafe is designed to hang out with your friends. As soon as you enter the lobby you won’t feel like you’re in a hotel lobby, you feel at home. It is a very bright and beautiful airy, large old building with clinker facade. Everything was designed with great attention to detail, for example, the large lampshades are one of the main focus of the cafe. All around you can see how the guests make use of the countless bookshelves and relax and drink coffee on the comfortable couches. Chess is played in one corner and someone plays the piano in the other corner. The food and drink offer is only a minor matter one might say, but the delicious homemade chocolate cake, fresh coffee and the extremely friendly staff are the icing on the cake. Since it is located directly on the Warschauer Strasse, you can also make a detour to the East Side Gallery. The ideal cafe for the young at heart and hipster.
