A trail of lights through the heart of Tierpark
The central element is the light trail of over two kilometers winding through the park. More than 30 light installations transform trees, paths, meadows, and water surfaces into a glittering winter scene. Illuminated animals line the way, stars sparkle from the treetops, and the lake shimmers like a mirror of the festive season. With every step, visitors dive deeper into a world where fantasy and nature blend. The installations do not only look beautiful; they also tell small stories. Many guests stop to take photos or simply enjoy the moment. This calm, almost poetic mood clearly sets this event apart from classic Christmas markets.
The ice rink movement is fun for all generations
A highlight for families is the large ice rink with around 320 square meters. Here you experience winter fun like in the old days, ice skating under sparkling lights, accompanied by festive music. If you do not have your skates, you can rent them on site. Skating aids are available for children. The ice rink is integrated into the illuminated world of the park, creating magical photo opportunities. After skating, nearby huts invite you to hot chocolate, mulled wine, or winter snacks. The combination of activity and indulgence makes this part of the Tierpark experience especially popular.
Culinary highlights enjoyment along the trail of lights
The scent of roasted almonds, bratwurst, and fresh bread accompanies you all along the circular route. Numerous wooden stalls offer classic Christmas treats as well as creative street food variations. Hot chocolate with marshmallows, vegan soups, flame grilled salmon over an open fire, and regional specialties such as Berlin winter punch are especially popular. The culinary variety turns the walk into a journey of taste. Every stop is a small break full of warmth and flavor, perfect to warm up and enjoy the atmosphere.
Magical light installations and poetic fire gardens
The light installations are artistically designed and often interactive. Visitors walk through tunnels of light, admire animal-shaped light sculptures, or watch Friedrichsfelde Palace transform into a glowing fairy tale castle. The poetic fire garden is particularly fascinating; flickering flames dance in rhythmic patterns and create a mystical mood. These productions not only appeal to the eyes but also to the heart; they convey a deep sense of peace, joy, and togetherness.
