Magical lights in City West
The Christmas market impresses with its unique location. While you walk through the festively decorated lanes, the illuminated Memorial Church rises above the market as a warning and, at the same time, peaceful symbol. Famous as a symbol of peace, the church provides the emotional setting for a Christmas of encounters. The large carpet of lights stretching 400 meters across the market bathes everything in a sparkling sea of light and warmth.
Over 100 stalls with crafts and culinary delights
At the Christmas Market at Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, more than 100 artistically decorated stalls await you with traditional and modern gift ideas. From wooden toys and handcrafted jewelry to Berlin design pieces and nativity figures—you will find everything here. Many stalls offer unique pieces from Germany and across Europe. Culinary highlights include roasted almonds, candied fruit, Austrian Kaiserschmarrn, Thuringian grilled sausage, tarte flambée, and Berlin pastries. A special favorite is the original Swedish glögg, whose warming spices comfort body and soul.
Charity mulled wine—Berlin tradition with heart
A special highlight is the charitable mulled wine sale. At the AG City stand, mulled wine is served, and the proceeds support social projects in Berlin, including the warming bus of the German Red Cross. Visitors enjoy classic mulled wine while doing good for people in need. This tradition turns the Christmas market into a place of solidarity and charity—a true sign of compassion in Advent.
Entertainment and festive experiences
The Christmas market inspires with a varied program. Brass bands, choirs, and live music provide a festive atmosphere. Children enjoy carousels, a Ferris wheel, and daily visits from Santa Claus, who hands out small gifts and brings shining eyes. Many stalls offer hands on activities for children, such as candle dipping or cookie decorating. In the evening, light installations immerse the market in a romantic setting—ideal for memorable photos.
