The “Gütermarkt” (goods market) can be thought of as a kind of "experimental flea market".

Here, in addition to "goods" such as pants, toasters and a lot of junk also services such as bicycle repairs, workshops and haircuts, but also criticism and productive opinions are exchanged. The goal is to create a local platform for critical urban education and neighborhood development. Rather, it is a hybrid market that brings together local craftsmen, hobbyists and junk sellers. Whereas the organizers of the market understand themselves as an anti-consumer market ... whatever that may be. The goods market always takes place at the beginning of each month. In December there is the X-Mas Edition, including mulled wine, Hungarian sausage and ginger drinks. If you do not feel like exchanging knowledge or critical discussion, there is also the opportunity to enjoy nice live music on site. Something like the Gütermarkt can only be found in Berlin.
