Frannz Club

History of this club dates back to 1842. Many people remember this place from GDR times





when between 1970 and 1997 there was the Erich Franz Club, who was an actor. It was famous for its concerts also outside of Eastern Berlin, but had to close its doors in 1997. In 2004 it reopened in the area of “Kulturbrauerei”, and is a place where many live concerts take place, but also other kind of events. Improvisation theatre group on Tuesdays, party on Saturdays called “Tanz im Frannz” on two dance floors with Rock, Pop and Dance music on one floor and the other one with best of 80ies and 90ies music. Every second Tuesday they have poetry slam and on Wednesdays you can learn Tango Arentino with El Ocaso. If you like to watch Sundays crime movie called Tatort, in company the Frannz Club is your place to go. They screen the movie on a big screen and offer food and drinks. They also have a little beer garden to sit outside on summer days.
The Frannz Club has a variety of things and events to offer and is quite unique in town. Having an event almost every day, it´s better to remember this address!
